This Privacy Policy explains how Litania LLC (“Litania,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, place an order, submit a photo or other custom-order content, contact us, or otherwise interact with our store and services.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which helps us provide the storefront, checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention, hosting, and related ecommerce services. Information you submit through the store may be processed by Shopify and its service providers as necessary to operate and improve those services. Shopify also provides privacy tools and settings that may affect how certain customer data is handled, including cookie and data-sharing choices where applicable.

4. Photo Submissions and Custom-Order Files

Photo submissions are used primarily to review, design, model, manufacture, fulfill, support, and, where appropriate, repair or remake your custom order.

Access to photo submissions may be limited to Litania personnel and service providers who reasonably need that access for those purposes.

We do not use customer-submitted photos for public marketing or promotion unless you separately and clearly consent.

We retain photo submissions and related custom-production files for 90 days after order completion or final support resolution, whichever is later, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, chargeback defense, legal compliance, or an open dispute. After that, we aim to delete or de-identify them within a commercially reasonable time.

5. How We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with service providers and business partners that help us operate our business, including:

Order and transaction records may be retained for longer periods for accounting, tax, legal, and fraud-prevention reasons.

We aim to retain personal information no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to legal or operational needs. European Commission guidance emphasizes transparency and storage limitation, which is why we define a specific retention approach for custom-photo files.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website and products are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age required by applicable law.

If you access our site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where Shopify or our service providers operate.

Where required by applicable law, recognized transfer mechanisms may be used for international transfers. Shopify’s automated privacy materials and EU guidance both contemplate cross-border processing and related transfer disclosures where relevant.
