PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: July 8, 2026

Company: Litania LLC
Contact: privacy@litania.studio

This Privacy Policy explains how Litania LLC (“Litania,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, sign up for updates, place an order, submit a photo or other custom-order content, contact us, interact with our advertising, interact with our social media pages or content, or otherwise use our store, products, and services.

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify helps us provide our storefront, checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention, hosting, analytics, customer privacy tools, and related ecommerce services. Information submitted through or collected by our store may be processed by Shopify and Shopify’s service providers as necessary to operate, secure, support, improve, and provide those services.

We may use advertising, analytics, social media, email, SMS, affiliate, influencer, and customer engagement tools, including tools provided by platforms such as Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Klaviyo, email service providers, SMS providers, affiliate platforms, review platforms, and similar service providers. These tools may help us measure performance, understand customer activity, communicate with customers, prevent fraud, improve our store, attribute sales, and show relevant advertising where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

This Policy describes our intended privacy practices. Actual data collection and sharing may depend on the Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Klaviyo, email, SMS, cookie, consent, analytics, advertising, checkout, social-commerce, and app settings active on our store. We review those settings periodically and aim to keep them aligned with this Policy.

  1. Personal Information We Collect

  • Payment-related information, such as payment confirmation, payment status, fraud-prevention signals, and payment metadata. We do not directly collect or store full payment card numbers, card security codes, or complete payment credentials through our website. Payment information is processed by Shopify, payment processors, or other payment service providers.

  • Communications you send to us, including emails, support messages, customer service requests, photo-review communications, remake requests, dispute-related documentation, reviews, social media messages, direct messages, comments, tags, mentions, and other communications.
  • Device, browser, cookie, pixel, IP address, server log, analytics, advertising, and usage information, including pages viewed, products viewed, searches, cart activity, checkout activity, purchase activity, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, device identifiers, browser settings, and interactions with our website, emails, messages, ads, or social media content.
  • Marketing information, such as email subscription status, SMS consent status, ad interactions, campaign source, audience membership, referral source, influencer or affiliate attribution, and marketing preferences.
  • Social media and user-generated content information, such as public profile name, username, handle, public profile photo, comments, tags, mentions, direct messages, reviews, testimonials, content permissions, and interactions with our social media pages, posts, ads, shops, pins, videos, or content.
  • Fraud-prevention, security, and compliance information provided by Shopify, payment providers, fraud-prevention tools, analytics providers, shipping providers, advertising platforms, social media platforms, email or SMS providers, affiliate platforms, or other service providers.
  1. Sources of Personal Information

We may collect personal information:

  • Directly from you when you visit the site, sign up for updates, place an order, submit a photo, contact us, request support, subscribe to email or SMS marketing, leave a review, send a message, or interact with our social media pages or content.
  • Automatically through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, server logs, analytics tools, browser events, server-side event tools, and similar technologies.
  • From Shopify and other service providers that support ecommerce, payments, shipping, communications, analytics, advertising, fraud prevention, hosting, storage, production, customer support, marketing, or customer engagement.
  • From advertising, analytics, social media, affiliate, influencer, email, SMS, and marketing partners, including Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Klaviyo, and similar platforms, where permitted by law and your privacy choices.
  • From public or user-directed social media interactions, such as comments, tags, mentions, reposts, direct messages, reviews, testimonials, pins, saves, shares, video interactions, or other content you choose to make available to us or direct to us.
  • From other sources where necessary to process orders, prevent fraud, comply with law, protect our rights, or operate our business.
  1. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and storefront.
  • Process payments, confirm orders, and fulfill purchases.
  • Review photo submissions and determine whether an order can be produced.
  • Design, model, manufacture, package, ship, repair, or remake custom products.
  • Communicate with you about orders, submissions, production timing, shipping, support, remakes, returns, disputes, and policy updates.
  • Provide customer service and respond to questions or privacy requests.

  • Improve our website, products, services, advertising, and customer experience.
  • Send marketing emails or messages where permitted and where you have not opted out.
  • Send SMS or mobile messages only where permitted and based on applicable consent, with opt-out instructions where required.
  • Measure, optimize, and personalize advertising, including advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, and similar platforms, where permitted by law and your privacy choices.
  • Create, measure, exclude, or improve advertising audiences, including retargeting audiences, customer-list audiences, custom audiences, suppression lists, catalog advertising audiences, similar audiences, or lookalike-style audiences, where permitted by law and your privacy choices.
  • Attribute purchases, signups, referrals, influencer campaigns, affiliate campaigns, social-commerce activity, and other conversions.
  • Sync or display product information through sales channels such as TikTok Shop, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Google, or similar channels where enabled.
  • Respond to social media messages, comments, tags, mentions, reviews, testimonials, or other user-generated content.
  • Request or document permission to use customer content, reviews, testimonials, photos, videos, posts, tags, or other user-generated content.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights, customers, and business.
  1. Photo Submissions and Custom-Order Files

Photo submissions and custom-order files are used primarily to review, design, model, manufacture, fulfill, support, repair, or remake your custom order.

Because photo submissions may contain faces, likenesses, family members, loved ones, children, or other personal details, we treat them carefully and limit access to Litania personnel and service providers who reasonably need access for order review, design, production, fulfillment, support, dispute handling, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or related business purposes.

If a customer submits a photo that depicts a child or another person, the customer is responsible for confirming that they have the legal right or appropriate permission to submit that photo for the custom order.

We do not use customer-submitted photos for public marketing, advertising, social media, testimonials, or promotional content unless you separately and clearly consent.

We do not use customer-submitted photos to identify a person, verify identity, create face-recognition templates, train biometric identification systems, or make automated identity decisions.

We do not intentionally share customer-submitted photos, custom portrait files, remake photos, production files, image filenames, personal story/context, private messages, or photo-upload form content with Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, or other advertising or social media platforms through pixels, tags, server-side event tools, Conversions API, Events API, enhanced conversions, advanced matching, custom event parameters, uploaded audiences, customer-list audiences, custom audiences, URL parameters, event names, advertising tools, social media tools, product feeds, catalog feeds, or shop feeds.

We take steps designed to prevent customer-submitted photo content and custom-order files from being included in advertising event payloads, browser URLs, search terms, page titles, product feeds, catalog feeds, shop feeds, custom event names, custom parameters, ad audiences, customer-list uploads, or other advertising data streams.

We retain photo submissions and related custom-production files for 90 days after order completion or final support resolution, whichever is later, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for remake support, fraud prevention, chargeback defense, legal compliance, accounting, security, or an open dispute. After that period, we aim to delete or de-identify those files from active systems within a commercially reasonable time. Residual copies may remain in backups, archives, or logs until they are overwritten or deleted according to normal backup, security, and retention practices.

  1. Cookies, Pixels, Tags, Advertising, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, server-side event tools, and similar technologies to:

  • Enable site functionality and checkout.
  • Remember preferences.
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud.
  • Measure site performance and analytics.
  • Understand how visitors use our website.
  • Measure ad performance and attribution.
  • Support retargeting, personalized advertising, audience creation, and marketing optimization where permitted by law and your privacy choices.
  • Support email, SMS, abandoned-cart, referral, affiliate, influencer, and customer-engagement campaigns where permitted by law and your choices.

These technologies may collect or use information such as IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, products viewed, search activity, cart activity, checkout activity, purchase activity, order value, currency, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, referring pages, ad identifiers, click identifiers, and interactions with our ads, emails, messages, social content, or website.

Depending on where you live and how our store is configured, you may be presented with cookie or privacy choices through Shopify’s customer privacy tools or another consent mechanism.

Where opt-in consent is required for non-essential cookies, pixels, tags, analytics, advertising technologies, SMS marketing, or similar tracking or marketing tools, we use consent tools designed to prevent those non-essential technologies from operating before the required consent is provided. If consent is withdrawn or an applicable opt-out signal is received, we use available tools designed to apply that choice to Shopify-managed privacy surfaces and advertising technologies where required.

  1. Advertising, Analytics, Social Media, and Sales Channel Tools

We may use advertising, analytics, social media, and sales-channel tools provided by platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Shopify, Klaviyo, affiliate platforms, influencer platforms, review platforms, and similar service providers.

Depending on the tool and our settings, these platforms may collect or receive information from our website, store, ads, emails, SMS messages, social media content, product feeds, shop feeds, or customer interactions. This information may be used to measure ad performance, attribute conversions, improve ad delivery, prevent fraud, secure services, create or refine audiences, exclude existing customers from campaigns, personalize ads, measure affiliate or influencer campaigns, operate product discovery features, sync product catalogs, and understand how customers interact with our business where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

Information shared with advertising, analytics, social media, or sales-channel platforms may include:

  • Page views and product views.
  • Search events.
  • Products added to or removed from cart.
  • Checkout initiation.
  • Purchase events.
  • Order value, currency, product identifiers, product category, transaction identifiers, and event timestamps.
  • Email address, phone number, name, city, state, ZIP/postal code, country, IP address, browser or device information, user agent, click identifiers, cookie identifiers, browser identifiers, mobile identifiers, and other matching identifiers.
  • Hashed, pseudonymized, or otherwise processed identifiers where supported or required by the relevant tool.
  • Email, SMS, abandoned-cart, referral, affiliate, influencer, or campaign attribution information where applicable.
  • Product catalog information, such as product title, product description, price, availability, image, URL, SKU, product category, and inventory status.

Hashing or pseudonymization does not necessarily make information anonymous. We treat advertising identifiers, matched customer data, and similar data as personal information where required by applicable law.

We do not intentionally configure advertising, analytics, social media, or sales-channel tools to receive:

  • Full payment card numbers or card security codes.
  • Customer-submitted photos.
  • Custom portrait files.
  • Photo-upload form contents.
  • Remake documentation.
  • Private support messages.
  • Customer personal story/context submitted for a custom order.
  • Image filenames or uploaded image metadata.
  • Health information.
  • Government identification numbers.
  • Children’s information.
  • Sensitive personal information, sensitive personal data, or special-category data as defined by applicable law.
  • Any other information prohibited by applicable platform terms or applicable law.

We also take steps designed to avoid placing that information in URLs, page titles, search terms, event names, custom parameters, product feeds, catalog feeds, shop feeds, customer-list uploads, or other fields that may be shared with advertising, analytics, social media, or sales-channel platforms.

  1. Meta Business Tools, Facebook, and Instagram Advertising

We may use Meta Business Tools, including the Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Advanced Matching, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, catalog ads, retargeting tools, and related Meta advertising and measurement services.

These tools may allow us and Meta to collect or receive information from our website and use that information for ad measurement, attribution, analytics, ad delivery, ad optimization, audience matching, fraud prevention, security, and showing relevant ads where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

  • Search events when a visitor uses site search.
  • AddToCart events when a visitor adds a product to the cart.

  • Purchase events when a visitor completes a purchase.
  • Order value, currency, product identifiers, product category, transaction identifiers, and event timestamps.
  • Email address, phone number, first name, last name, city, state, ZIP/postal code, country, IP address, browser or device information, user agent, Meta click identifiers, browser identifiers, and other matching identifiers.
  • Hashed, pseudonymized, or otherwise processed identifiers where supported or required by the relevant tool.

We do not intentionally configure Meta Business Tools to receive customer-submitted photos, custom portrait files, private support messages, sensitive personal information, children’s information, full payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other information prohibited by Meta’s terms or applicable law.

If we use customer-list audiences, custom audiences, lookalike-style audiences, catalog ads, or similar Meta advertising features, we may share customer identifiers or event data with Meta for matching, exclusion, measurement, or advertising purposes where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

You can control certain Meta-related advertising and data-sharing practices through our cookie banner, data-sharing opt-out page, “Your Privacy Choices” link, browser-based Global Privacy Control signals where applicable, and Meta’s own privacy and advertising settings. You may also be able to disconnect activity from your Facebook or Instagram account through Meta’s settings.

  1. TikTok Advertising, TikTok Pixel, Events API, and TikTok Shop

We may use TikTok advertising, TikTok Pixel, TikTok Events API, Advanced Matching, TikTok Shop, catalog sync, shoppable video, LIVE shopping, retargeting, conversion measurement, and related TikTok business tools where enabled.

These tools may allow us and TikTok to collect or receive information from our website, store, product catalog, ads, TikTok Shop activity, or customer interactions. This information may be used for ad measurement, attribution, analytics, ad delivery, ad optimization, audience matching, retargeting, catalog management, product discovery, shop operations, fraud prevention, security, and showing relevant ads where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

Depending on our Shopify and TikTok settings, information shared with TikTok may include:

  • Page views and product views.
  • Search events.
  • Add-to-cart events.
  • Checkout initiation.

  • Hashed, pseudonymized, or otherwise processed identifiers where supported or required by the relevant tool.

We do not intentionally configure TikTok Pixel, TikTok Events API, TikTok Shop, catalog sync, Advanced Matching, customer-list audiences, or TikTok advertising tools to receive customer-submitted photos, custom portrait files, private support messages, sensitive personal information, children’s information, full payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other information prohibited by TikTok’s terms or applicable law.

If we use TikTok custom audiences, customer-list audiences, similar audiences, catalog ads, TikTok Shop features, or similar TikTok advertising or sales-channel features, we may share customer identifiers, event data, product catalog data, or order-related data with TikTok for matching, exclusion, measurement, shop operations, advertising, or product discovery purposes where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

You can control certain TikTok-related advertising and data-sharing practices through our cookie banner, data-sharing opt-out page, “Your Privacy Choices” link, browser-based Global Privacy Control signals where applicable, and TikTok’s own privacy and advertising settings.

  1. Pinterest Advertising, Pinterest Tag, Catalogs, and Product Discovery

We may use Pinterest advertising, Pinterest Tag, Pinterest API tools, Pinterest catalog sync, shoppable Pins, product discovery features, retargeting, conversion measurement, and related Pinterest business tools where enabled.

This information may be used for ad measurement, attribution, analytics, ad delivery, ad optimization, audience matching, retargeting, catalog management, product discovery, fraud prevention, security, and showing relevant ads where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

  • Hashed, pseudonymized, or otherwise processed identifiers where supported or required by the relevant tool.

We do not intentionally configure Pinterest Tag, Pinterest API tools, Pinterest catalog sync, customer-list audiences, or Pinterest advertising tools to receive customer-submitted photos, custom portrait files, private support messages, sensitive personal information, children’s information, full payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other information prohibited by Pinterest’s terms or applicable law.

If we use Pinterest audiences, customer-list audiences, similar audiences, catalog ads, shoppable Pins, or similar Pinterest advertising or sales-channel features, we may share customer identifiers, event data, product catalog data, or order-related data with Pinterest for matching, exclusion, measurement, advertising, or product discovery purposes where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

SMS or mobile marketing messages are sent only where permitted and based on applicable consent. If you subscribe to SMS messages, we may collect and use your phone number, consent status, signup source, message interactions, and related information to send and manage those messages. You can opt out of SMS messages by following the instructions provided in the message, such as replying STOP where available, or by contacting us.

Abandoned-cart reminders may use cookies, pixels, tags, checkout activity, cart activity, email address, phone number, or similar information to determine whether a cart or checkout was abandoned and to send reminders where permitted by law and your choices.

We do not sell personal information for money.

However, some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “cross-context behavioral advertising” broadly. Under those laws, certain uses of advertising, analytics, cookies, pixels, tags, Shopify services, Meta Business Tools, Google advertising tools, TikTok advertising tools, Pinterest advertising tools, Snap advertising tools, customer-list audiences, custom audiences, retargeting, affiliate attribution, product feeds, shop feeds, or other third-party technologies may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising.”

Where required, you may opt out of these activities through our data-sharing opt-out page, “Your Privacy Choices” link, cookie preferences, Global Privacy Control signal where applicable, or by contacting us at privacy@litania.studio.

  1. Sensitive Personal Information

We do not knowingly sell or share children’s personal information as those terms are defined by applicable law.

We do not knowingly share children’s personal information with Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, or other advertising, analytics, social media, or sales-channel platforms through advertising pixels, server-side advertising events, customer-list audiences, custom audiences, targeted advertising tools, product feeds, shop feeds, or similar advertising or sales-channel tools.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent or authorization, contact us at privacy@litania.studio.

  1. Third-Party Links, Social Platforms, Sales Channels, and Embedded Content

Our website, emails, ads, social media content, product listings, or sales-channel listings may contain links to third-party websites, social platforms, payment services, embedded content, or other services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

If you interact with our content on a third-party platform, such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, or another social media, advertising, product-discovery, or sales-channel platform, that platform may independently collect or process information under its own privacy policy and settings.
